Following a BRI shareholders’ meeting in Jakarta, BRI President Director Sunarso said that the Indonesian government, holding a 53.19-percent stake in BRI, would receive IDR 25.71-trillion in dividends.
“The annual shareholders’ meeting has approved a dividend payment of IDR 48.1-trillion, equivalent to IDR 319 per share. The dividend payout ratio is 80.04-percent of the [2023] profit,” Sunarso said, adding that “despite the dividend payout for the fiscal year 2023, our CAR [capital adequacy ratio] remains secure at around 20-percent, exceeding the minimum requirement set by regulators,” according to Jakarta Globe.
The total dividend payout includes the interim dividend of IDR 12.67-trillion, which was already disbursed on January 18.
Shareholders also consented to minor changes in the boards of directors and commissioners, including the appointment of a new independent commissioner.
