Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo unveiled 37 investment projects in the capital with a total indicative value of Rp115 trillion. The portfolio spans hospitality to transportation initiatives.
The announcement was made during his keynote speech at the Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) 2026, held at the Shangri‑La Hotel on Friday, August 28, 2026. According to him, the projects represent strategic opportunities for Jakarta.
“We are proud to present a portfolio of 37 strategic investment projects across Jakarta, with a total indicative value of around Rp115 trillion — approximately US$5 billion,” Governor Pramono said during Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta, Friday (August 28, 2026).
Highest Investment Region
Jakarta’s economic performance remains a key driver in attracting investors. Based on official data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), realized investment in the metropolitan area reached Rp173.6 trillion in the first half of 2026.
This figure, equivalent to US$10.5 billion, accounts for 17.2% of total national investment, cementing Jakarta’s position as the region with the highest investment realization in Indonesia.
Governor Pramono emphasized that investors can expect strong returns, noting Jakarta’s resilience amid ongoing changes. The city’s economy grew 5.52% in the first half of 2026, with inflation at 2.5%. Jakarta also climbed in the Kearney Global City Index, rising from 74th to 71st place.
Integrate with Urban Development
The 37 projects offered include residential developments, hotels, commercial areas, mixed‑use complexes, and Transit Oriented Developments (TOD). Other sectors covered are sports, recreation, industry, logistics, utilities, transportation, and waterfront projects.
Pramono noted that many of the projects are designed to integrate with Jakarta’s urban development. In addition to investment opportunities, the Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing to issue municipal bonds.
“Many of these projects are designed to grow alongside Jakarta’s urban development — connecting housing with mobility, commercial activity with public spaces, and infrastructure with new economic growth centers,” he added.
