A press release published on the website of The President of The Republic of Indonesia announced that President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) at the Presidential Palace Yard in Jakarta, on Monday (24/2/25.) The launch of Danantara marks the government’s strategic step in managing national investment to support sustainable investment growth.
“The launch of Danantara Indonesia today has a very important meaning because Danantara Indonesia is not just an investment management agency but must become a national development instrument that will optimize the way we manage Indonesia’s wealth,” said the President.
Not only an investment fund, the President said that the management of Danantara is expected to change the way the nation’s wealth is managed for the welfare of the people. According to the President, the government has proven its commitment with discipline and responsible financial management.
“We have proven our commitment to managing state assets with strict financial discipline and responsible governance in the first 100 days of the government that I lead, we managed to secure more than IDR 300 trillion, almost USD 20 billion in state savings,” he said.
The funds will then be managed by Danantara and invested in national industrialization and downstream projects. President Prabowo believes these projects have an impact in creating significant added value for Indonesia.
“High-impact projects that will create significant added value for our nation, creating real benefits, quality jobs, and long-term prosperity for the people of Indonesia,” he added.
On that occasion, the President expressed his appreciation for the hard work of all parties in realizing Danantara Indonesia. According to him, this is a historical milestone in Indonesia’s journey towards economic independence, resilience, and prosperity.
“With Daya Anagata Nusantara, which means the energy of the future power for the archipelago, the power of future energy for Indonesia,” said the President.
The Head of State reminded Danantara Indonesia to be managed carefully and transparently. With this launch, the President believes that Indonesia can continue to move forward and be stronger and more united than before.
“With this belief, let us move together, united in purpose, firm in determination, and confident that Indonesia’s greatest achievements are still ahead of us. Brothers and sisters, believe that Indonesia will achieve its ideals, we will become an advanced country, a prosperous country, a respected country,” he said.
Also attending the event were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Boediono, and the 13th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma’ruf Amin.
In addition, also present were the leaders of state institutions, ministers of the Red and White cabinet, ambassadors of friendly countries, General Chairmen of Political Parties, editors-in-chief of national media, and religious and community leaders.
