Following a meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council and a joint press conference by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto in Bogor, a signing ceremony was held for 13 joint agreements on Wednesday (12/2/25) in a range of areas, including trade, defense and media, according to reporting from Anadolu Agency.
These agreements covered cooperation in health and medical sciences, an MoU on energy and natural resources, a letter of intent on promotion and facilitation of investments between the two governments, an MoU on the establishment of a joint committee on industrial cooperation, an MoU on agricultural cooperation, an MoU on enhancing cooperation in trade, an MoU on cooperation in higher education between the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye and the Higher Education, Science and Technology Ministry of Indonesia.
In addition, Anadolu Agency reports that Head of Türkiye’s Presidency of Religious Affairs and Indonesian Religious Affairs Minister signed an MoU on cooperation in religious services and religious education between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Religious Affairs Ministry of Indonesia.
Head of Türkiye’s Defense Industries Secretariat, and Indonesia’s defense minister also signed a defense industry cooperation agreement between the two departments, while Turkish defense company BAYKAR’s and Republikorp signed a joint production agreement for the export of Bayraktar TB3 and Bayraktar AKINCI drones.
A cooperation agreement between Anadolu and Indonesian news agency ANTARA was also signed in addition to an MoU on radio between the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and the Public Service Broadcasting Radio of the Republic of Indonesia (LPP RRI) as well as a cooperation protocol between TRT and TVRI.
