A recent article published by Kempuran reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) has announced Germany was Indonesia’s largest trading partner in Europe in 2022, with a total trade value of USD 6.3-billion (approx. IDR 92.7-trillion.)
Director of Europe II of Kemenlu, Winardi Hanafi Lucky, explained that this partnership was not only in terms of trade, but also “the investment value of USD 195-million consisting of 1,195-projects, ranking number 4 in Europe.”
Lucky said at a press briefing at the Indonesia Partner Country – Hannover Messe 2023, that Indonesia’s participation would certainly boost the trade and investment rate, and would not only be limited to Germany. He explained that his party had socialized 130-Indonesian representatives who would go there.
“The Hannover Messe is indeed a very suitable place to promote the potential for cooperation, as the largest industrial exhibition in the world. If I’m not mistaken, participation in meetings is limited to 5.6-million digitally, and later it is hoped that physically there will be more participants,” he said in his remarks.
