According to an official press release from The President of The Republic of Indonesia’s website, President Prabowo Subianto received a courtesy call from the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, in Lima, Peru, on Thursday (14/11/24.) The visit was an opportunity for the two leaders to strengthen diplomatic relations and strengthen cooperation in various strategic areas between Indonesia and Australia.
In the meeting, PM Albanese appreciated President Prabowo’s global geopolitical move to make his first overseas visit to China and the US at the same time. PM Albanese also hopes that the relationship and cooperation between Indonesia and Australia will be closer, especially in the fields of agriculture, education and health.
“I want to see more cooperation between our two countries. I hope that this relationship will become even stronger in the future,” Mr Albanese said.
President Prabowo also emphasized the strong friendship between Indonesia and Australia. As a neighbor and good friend of Indonesia, President Prabowo emphasized his commitment to continue to enhance cooperation with Australia in various fields.
“We consider Australia as a good friend of Indonesia. We want to further strengthen cooperation in various fields, including Australia’s participation in the Indonesian economy,” said President Prabowo.
President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been established between the two countries. President Prabowo also invited Australia to establish good relations and cooperation with other countries.
“Overall, I think we have managed the relationship between us very well. And I want to improve all the relationships with the neighboring countries around us,” President Prabowo said.
