A press release published on the website of The President of The Republic of Indonesia has announced that President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister (PM) of India, Narendra Modi, witnessed the exchange of memorandums of understanding (MoU) between the governments of Indonesia and India at Hyderabad House, New Delhi, on Saturday (25/1/25,) following a bilateral meeting between the two leaders.
“In our discussions in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, health, energy, security cooperation, AI (artificial intelligence), digital IT, energy, we agreed to strengthen this cooperation,” said President Prabowo in a joint press statement with PM Modi.
At that moment, five cooperation documents had been agreed upon by the two countries. The areas that Indonesia and India have agreed upon include:
Memorandum of Understanding on Health Cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Indonesia and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Republic of India;
Memorandum of Understanding between the Food and Drug Administration of the Republic of Indonesia and the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Drugs and Homoeopathy of the Ministry of Ayush of the Republic of India on Cooperation in the Field of Quality Assurance of Traditional Medicines;
Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Republic of India on Cooperation in the field of Digital Development;
Memorandum of understanding between the Maritime Security Agency of the Republic of Indonesia and the Coast Guard on Maritime Safety and Security Cooperation; and
Cultural Exchange Program Between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of India for the Period 2025 – 2028.
