North Bali Airport Set For Sumberklampok in Buleleng

After much back and forth over recent years, the Bali DPRD have finally announced that the North Bali Airport will be in Sumberklampok in Buleleng according to recent reporting from JPNN.Com

The issue was discussed under Spatial Planning for 2022-2042 in the Bali provincial government, which was attended by Governor Wayan Koster, Deputy Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, Chair of the Bali DPRD I Nyoman Adi Wiryatama, along with members of the DPRD and the leadership of the Bali Provincial Government OPD.

The North Bali Airport Location Plan was based on the Letter of the Minister of ATR/Ka.BPN Number PF.01/08-200/I/2021 dated January 15, 2021 in Sumberklampok Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency.

Although the local government appears to have approved the location for a new airport, the final say will be made by central government and the Ministry of Transportation.
