Indonesia Property Industry Boosted by Harpropnas Fest 2025

Industry leaders at Harpropnas Fest 2025 press conference highlighting Indonesia property industry growth and collaboration.

The Indonesia property industry is showing strong momentum in 2025 as Harpropnas Fest highlights its growing role in the national economy. With contributions exceeding 15 percent to the country’s GDP, property has become a central driver of growth. The festival also underscored the importance of cross-sector collaboration, energy-efficient housing, and the rising demand from younger buyers.

Indonesia Property Industry Sees Strong Growth

The property industry’s impact on the economy is significant, with data from Rumah123 showing demand for homes rising 13.8 percent in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.

Tangerang leads the market with a 16.8 percent share, followed by South Jakarta at 11.4 percent, West Jakarta at 9.8 percent, and Bandung at 7.3 percent. Other key markets include North Jakarta, Surabaya, South Tangerang, Bekasi, East Jakarta, and Central Jakarta.

99 Group CEO Wasudewan emphasized the interconnected nature of the sector, stating, “Everything is interconnected and can only be achieved if all stakeholders move together.” His remarks reflect the broader understanding that the Indonesia property industry thrives when supported by related industries.

Housing Demand in Indonesia Driven by Young Buyers

Demographics continue to shape housing trends in Indonesia. The majority of property seekers are aged 18 to 34, making up 46.8 percent of the market.

This generation seeks affordable housing that also aligns with lifestyle needs, such as access to modern amenities and energy efficiency. Buyers aged 35–44 follow with 17.2 percent, while those aged 45–54 represent 26.4 percent, and the 55–64 age group holds 9 percent.

This youthful demand reflects a long-term opportunity for developers. As Wasudewan explained, “We continue to strengthen the property ecosystem that involves many parties, both developers, property agents, banks, and related industries that support residential and commercial property.” His remarks highlight the industry’s intent to adapt to changing consumer expectations.

Cross-Sector Collaboration Boosts Property Sector

Collaboration has emerged as a defining feature of growth within the property industry. Pertamina, through its retail fuel sales unit, has optimized business spaces at gas stations, creating opportunities for tenants and improving consumer convenience. “Cross-sector collaboration is a strategy to maintain business sustainability for our partners,” said Pertamina VP of Retail Fuel Sales, Windrian Kurniawan.

Meanwhile, Signify Indonesia is addressing the growing demand for energy-efficient solutions. “We cannot stand alone. A complete ecosystem will provide greater benefits for consumers,” noted Burhan Noor Sahid, Head of Marketing Consumer at Signify Indonesia.

By aligning with developers and property platforms, Signify is ensuring that new housing projects meet both productivity and efficiency standards. These examples underscore how collaboration is strengthening the property sector’s foundation.

The event provided a one-stop solution for buyers and sellers, offering property choices, financing options, and home appliances. Rumah123 also hosted a consultation booth to simplify property planning.

Wasudewan stressed the platform’s value: “This is what makes the Rumah123 ecosystem more relevant, as it connects property with supporting partners and significantly contributes to the national economy.”

Harpropnas Fest also featured strategic collaborations. Rumah123 worked with Pertamina Patra Niaga to provide entrepreneurs with access to high-traffic business spaces. Windrian Kurniawan noted, “Working with Rumah123 attracted more than 3,000 potential partners at the time, becoming a valuable lesson in exploring business prospects.” Signify Indonesia also used the platform to expand consumer education through joint projects with developers, strengthening awareness of energy-efficient living.

Strengthening Indonesia Property Industry Outlook

Indonesia’s property industry has demonstrated resilience and innovation through Harpropnas Fest 2025. Rising demand, especially among younger buyers, coupled with collaboration across energy, banking, and lifestyle sectors, has reinforced its role as a key economic driver.

As Burhan Noor Sahid explained, the future lies in complete ecosystems that benefit consumers and support sustainable growth. With cross-sector partnerships at its core, the industry is well-positioned to navigate global challenges and continue driving national economic progress.
