Tempo are reporting that Bali International Hospital (BIH) currently being built in the Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Sanur will be an international standard hospital and committed to Indonesia’s drive towards developing the medical tourism industry.
Mira Dyah Wahyuni, Main Director of the Indonesian-owned hospital holding company, PT Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) said on Monday that BIH will be supported by advanced technology and will have a center of excellence in Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Gastroentero-Hepatology and Orthopedics as well as Medical Check Up (MCU) and diagnostic center services.
“This is due to the fact that two million Indonesians are still seeking medical treatment abroad,” Wahyuni said in a written statement.
According to Tempo BIH is scheduled to be operational in the second quarter of 2024. In its operation, Wahyuni went on to say that IHC are collaborating with Mayo Clinic, which is the best hospital in the United States and is trusted in the health industry, in order to provide the best quality service for Indonesian people with international standards.
Standing on five hectares with four floors and 260-wards, the hospital will have an environmentally friendly concept and is projected to be developed as a green hospital.
